It is with the deepest regard that we are saddened to report the death of one of the great civil rights icons of our era. Nelson Mandela has sadly passed away at the age of 95.
The former South African President was most famous for his fight at ending apartheid in South Africa. He had been in declining health for several months now having reoccurring lung infections, liver problems, and at one point was on life support back in June of this year.
He ended up spending a large portion of his 95 years in prison after being accused of trying to conspire to overthrow the South African government. He went on to be released in 1995, 27 years later, and won a Nobel Peace Prize. He eventually became the nations first Black President in 1994.

To support the government and the Mandela family we will endeavour where possible to assist with access to information.
He will be remembered as an iconic leader and great man willing to go the distance, even if it meant sacrificing himself for the freedom and fairness for all. He was a noble man who had a spirit to lift a nation from cruel practices and exhibited heroic efforts, admired the world apart.
For his accomplishments, he will be forever remembered as a trailblazer who enacted changed and inspired a generation. For so many he was a symbol of hope and freedom for greater tomorrow for generations to come. We will never have another Manedela and his legacy will forever live on. He was a fighter and never surrendered to an evil regime. For all you've done Mandela…..we say THANKS and may you forever rest in eternal peace.
